Silicone Additive for Plastics
Silicone plastic additives are made of ultra-high molecular weight polysiloxane, provided by pellets or powder, used as processing aids in plastics. Silicone oil is used extensively in the plastic industry as external mold release agent and internal additive to give processing advantages and surface property improvements. However, because of the lower molecule weight, silicone oil is difficult to measure and handle, and the migration would also easily bring bad effects on the painting and coating properties. Compared with silicone oil, silicone additive improve plastic properties often more efficiently and more effectively, with little effect on the adhesion of paints labels or decorations, more convenient to handle and good dispersion.
